WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Named after its founders - the Tivon family - Tivon Fine Jewellery is a 2nd generation family-owned company with 50 years of history and experience. The company is kept under close family guard in order to ensure its core values remain constant and untarnished.
The name TIVON comes from the word 'TEVAH' meaning NATURE. We feel it is quite apt that we fuse our passion for the elements of nature i.e. gold, diamonds, gemstones - with the very essence of our name.
After years of working as an experienced diamond cutter and polisher, Israel Tivon (founder and patriarch of Tivon Fine Jewellery) established a jewellery business in South Africa. The company first specialised in bespoke and unique hand-crafted fine silverware and bespoke silver jewellery. Then, using his experience in diamonds, Israel began steering the business towards his passion - fine crafted unique gold jewellery set with an array of diamonds and gemstones.
Working with some of the most experienced goldsmiths, designers, gem-dealers and factories, Israel was inspired to bring the best of global design and gemstones to a larger audience.
From humble beginnings - THE DREAM HAS BEEN REALISED
With the aid of Israel's son - Ariel Tivon - Tivon Fine Jewellery has now progressed from its humble South African roots onto a more international platform. With expansion into the UK and Europe in 2004, Tivon Fine Jewellery continues on the path its founder initially planned which is to bring high quality unique fine jewellery to a larger audience.
GO BIG... OR GO HOME!
In 2013, in celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Tivon Fine Jewellery created some of its best & boldest designs. With its designs, quality and ambitions at their highest, Tivon Fine Jewellery embraced the all-powerful U.S. marketplace.
Tivon Fine Jewellery was simultaneously appointed as the first official British member of the American Gem Society. Now there is no looking back!
"We asked ourselves: 'What inspires people to wear jewellery?' The answer was easy - Jewellery should transcend mere physical pleasure. Wearing jewellery is an experience. The experience should be fun and fantastical while its wearer should still exude style and sophistication. So we've brought styles & designs which encompass all of these qualities." ... Ariel Tivon.
